PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The ArtsQuest Creative Factory is a new 80,000 square foot, five-story creative hub designed to expand access to arts, education, and collaborative community spaces in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Purpose-built to inspire innovation and creativity, the facility will feature studios, galleries, performance spaces, maker’s spaces, recording studios, and educational environments for artists and the surrounding community. 

For this new construction project, PanelShield SA and VaproFlashing SA were selected to help create a durable, high-performance building envelope. As part of the next generation of weather resistive barrier and air barrier protection, PanelShield SA delivers exceptional adhesion and proven performance across demanding construction conditions. Installed as a vapor permeable air barrier system, the fully adhered membrane helps protect the structure from moisture intrusion while allowing the wall assembly to dry, supporting long-term durability and building performance. 

Because the project utilized panelized construction, PanelFlashing SA and VaproFlashing SA were used to treat panel seams and transitions, helping maintain continuity of the air barrier system once the panels were set on-site. This approach streamlined installation while enhancing moisture management and enclosure performance.
