PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Dermody Headquarters is a new construction office development in Reno, Nevada, where maintaining energy efficiency and indoor comfort is critical in a climate characterized by hot summers, low humidity, and significant temperature fluctuations. To support these performance goals, WrapShield SA was selected as the building's weather resistive and air barrier system. 

As a fully-adhered, vapor permeable air barrier, WrapShield SA helps create a tight building enclosure by reducing uncontrolled air leakage through the wall assembly. In hot, dry climates like Reno, limiting air infiltration is essential to improving HVAC performance. By reducing the amount of conditioned air that escapes and minimizing the infiltration of hot exterior air, the building's mechanical systems can operate more efficiently, reducing energy consumption while helping maintain consistent indoor temperatures. 

By incorporating WrapShield SA, the Dermody Headquarters will benefit from a high-performance enclosure system that supports energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and long-term building performance in Reno's demanding climate.
